I am also affiliated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/fmc.unizar.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Condensed Matter Physics<\/a> at the University of <a href=\"https:\/\/unizar.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zaragoza<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I earned my Laurea (Bachelor\u2019s degree) with the highest marks from the University of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicam.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Camerino<\/a> in 1996 and completed a joint PhD degree from the Universities of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universiteitleiden.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leiden<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/unizar.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zaragoza<\/a> in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>My career includes positions at the University of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universiteitleiden.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leiden<\/a> from 2001 to 2004 and at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nano.cnr.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CNR-NANO<\/a> in Modena from 2004 to 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I then joined <a href=\"https:\/\/inma.unizar-csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">INMA<\/a> as a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ram%C3%B3n_y_Cajal_(scholarship)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">`Ram\u00f3n y Cajal\u00b4<\/a> fellow, after being ranked 1<sup>st<\/sup> in the 2008 national call for the panel of Materials Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I achieved tenure as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csic.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CSIC<\/a> scientist in 2010 and became a senior scientist in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a CSIC scientist at INMA.
